"The Fundamentals of Boat Handling and Seamanship" - Class dates TBA
   America's Boating Course - Saturdays (8 Hours)

This course will teach basic seamanship, an understanding of navigational aids, items required to be on your boat, trailer and boat handling, the art of tying knots and much more. Professionally trained instructors utilizing the latest in enhanced, visual aids technology will make attendance a truly enjoyable learning experience. Those students who are 21 years old or younger and who successfully complete the course, will have met Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission requirements entitling them to receive a Florida State Boaters License.
 
       
    The Fundamentals of Boat Handling and Seamanship
   7 Evening Classes  (14  Hours  Total)

This course is the same as the USPS Seamanship Course but with the addition of portions of several USPS
Seminars (GPS, How to read Navigational Charts, Boat Handling, etc.). The content of this course is basically what is necessary to obtain a Captain's license. All boaters are subject to nautical rules and regulations. Skippers should learn and respect traditional boating courtesies. This course is meant to be of interest to the entire family - older children are welcome. We encourage your family to attend as a group.                    
            Open to the Public - $90 (by joining the USPS you save $50)                          USPS Members - $40 
 
       
  At the conclusion of these classes an examination is held and those who successfully complete course will be given a certificate which is recognized by United States Power Squadrons  the Marine Police and many insurance companies.

These  courses are open to all members of the public, from teenagers upwards. For those under 21, successful completion of one of these courses will enable that person to obtain a Florida Operators License.
