Calling all boaters

Come and participate in a seminar presented by the Vero Beach Power Squadron each Wednesday evening in May 2008.   Each seminar will run from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. in the Squadron Building located behind Mac Williams Park.   Cost is $30.00 per seminar for each individual or family for valuable take away materials    Discounts for Power Squadron members.  Join us for FUN while you gain valuable information about boating.

May 7, 2008    Onboard Weather Forecasting - Learn how to use your senses to determine weather    conditions you may encounter while boating.    How to read the clouds to tell of approaching storms.

May 14, 2008   Using VHF/DSC Marine Radio.  Learn the latest and most important improvements in marine radios.   How to use the Digital Selective Calling Features that work on Ch. 70 that could save your life.

May 21, 2008    Using GPS.   Find what all the buttons can do and all the many features that a boater can use to provide confident and safe navigation. 

May 28, 2008    Boat Handling Under Power.   We will discuss how to confidently approach and depart the docks under various conditions (single and dual engines).
